My passion and fascination for Finance and Financial Services started in 1998. Around that time I was studying Science at University of South Australia (UniSA) when my parents decided to buy their own residential property. They asked me to help them with finding a good mortgage. I clearly remember how time consuming it was going to almost all major banks’ branches and some other smaller banks or lenders and making appointments with them. Then the next issues was my limited knowledge and understanding of jargon and terminology involved when applying for a mortgage. As a Science student I knew more about cells and chemistry than interest rates or their repayments. Luckily UniSA had a very good initiative called Broadening Undergraduate Subjects that required undergraduate student study two of their elective subjects outside of their main field of study.

I grabbed the opportunity and chose a subject called ‘Financial Management’. Since then my involvement with Finance and Financial Services grow rapidly to that extent that since 2005 I completely focused my career toward Finance and Financial Services positions. This career change allowed me to know more about mortgages, and other types of loans while helping my clients with their financial goals and objectives.
